Rose Namajunas calls out Michelle Waterson for next fight

Rose Namajunas has a next opponent in mind – UFC on Fox 22 main event winner Michelle Waterson.

Michelle Waterson came up huge in the UFC on Fox 22 headliner, submitting Paige VanZant in the first round. This allowed her to move up four spots in the UFC rankings to seven, and opens her up to a whole new caliber of opponent.

Enter Rose Namajunas.

The number-four ranked fighter at women’s strawweight took to Instagram to politely ask for a fight with Waterson, since her fans had been asking her about it:

If you can’t read the text, she says “First off I want to congratulate @karatehottiemma on a SPECTACULAR performance! You showed tremendous growth and hunger as a fighter/mother/wife/cool person since knowing you so hats off to you! Secondly I want to acknowledge the messages I’ve been getting from my fans that this is the next matchup y’all want to see! Me too! Make it happen @danawhite @ufc”

Namajunas (5-2, 3-2 UFC), who also holds a win over VanZant, is coming off a split-decision loss to Karolina Kowalkiewicz back in July. That loss ended a three-fight winning streak for “Thug Rose”.

Waterson (14-4, 2-0 UFC), the former Invicta FC atomweight champion, has won both of her UFC bouts by submission thus far.
