Anthony Johnson gets into a war of words with Paulo Costa.

Former UFC light heavyweight title challenger Anthony Johnson has slammed Paulo Costa following his loss to Israel Adesanya at UFC 253, with ‘Rumble’ accusing ‘Borrachinha’ of sour grapes in defeat.

Costa was upset with Adesanya’s X-rated post-fight celebration and demanded an immediate rematch but, given the result (second-round TKO loss), Johnson thinks ‘The Eraser’ — or ‘loose booty’ — should have kept his mouth shut.

“I don’t understand all of a sudden either why Costa is getting so upset after he saw what ‘Stylebender’ did to him, you know?” Johnson said in a recent interview with retired UFC middleweight Mike Swick, (h/t BJPenn.com). ”I was like, ‘Dude, you were the one talking so much and then he gets you at the end, and now you mad? Because he embarrassed you?’ C’mon, man, grow some balls. Man up to that. It is what it is. You can’t demand a rematch after a performance like that, either. That’s not smart. That’s not gonna sell for sure.”

Costa soon got word of Johnson’s comments and fired back by calling him a ‘moron’ who doesn’t know which weight class he should fight at.

“Anthony rumble Johnson shut up moron you even don’t know which weight class you should fight,” Costa said.

That’s when Rumble, who admitted to getting whooped by Adesanya in training, went in on Costa with the following vulgar Tweet.

“I don’t do the talking back and forth but the last BBC you did that to (expletive) your ass at the end DOGGY STYLE Now your name is LOOSE BOOTY. You must want missionary next by me? I respect you but make sure you know your role… I’m not the 1 kid,” Johnson posted.

Johnson, 36, retired following his submission loss to Daniel Cormier in 2017 but is expected to make a comeback next year. The Floridan is expected to return at light heavyweight.
