MMA H.E.A.T.’s Karyn Bryant went to Xtreme Couture in Las Vegas to catch up with Strikeforce Lightweight Ryan Couture. At the time of the interview, Ryan was recovering from a staph infection: but he went on to win his next fight at Strikeforce Challengers 14 (2/18/11) by submitting Lee Higgins via rear naked choke at 4:41 of the third round. During the interview, Ryan addresses the expectations placed on him in light of his father Randy’s legacy in MMA, how he would like his own career to unfold and how his wrestling background taught him about having Heart. In addition, Ryan talks about the pro MMA fighters who train at Xtreme Couture, and how the vibe of the gym would change when his dad was in camp.
