Two of the top women’s fighters in the world are scheduled to make their UFC debuts in Houston.
Former Strikeforce champion Sarah Kaufman will square off against Jessica Eye in a bantamweight contest at UFC 166 on Oct. 19, according to UFC officials Friday night.
Kaufman (16-2) was scheduled to make her Octagon debut against Sarah McMann at UFC Fight Night 27, but McMann pulled out of the fight because of undisclosed personal reasons. Kaufman, who was subsequently pulled from that card as well, has won four of her past five fights.
Eye (10-1) was recently signed by the UFC after she was released by Bellator. She has won her past seven fights.
UFC 166 is headlined by a third fight between UFC heavyweight champion Cain Velasquez and Junior dos Santos.
