After this weekends M-1 Global event, news surfaced of a possible bout between Fedor Emelianenko, who ended a three fight losing skid with a decision win over Jeff Monson, and Japanese fighter Satoshi Ishii (4-1-1). If the bout happens, it is expected to take place on New Years Eve in Japan.
Ishii spoke to a reporter about the matchup recently
“I still hard work, I trust my coach, so stay hard work…New Years Event, I want to get win. I striking traiing my main training. Everyday striking training…I hope to be UFC champion, so next fight is important fight.”
