Ultimate Fighting Championship (UFC) welterweight contender, Ben Askren, was shipped to London for a cageside seat at this Saturday’s ESPN+ extravaganza inside O2 Arena, featuring a 170-pound main event between Darren Till and Jorge Masvidal.

Not because UFC thinks Askren is such a swell guy, but rather because “Funky” has a big mouth and will start some crap with the winner, establishing beef and hyping up a contender’s bout to take place on or around the same date as the Kamaru Usman vs. Colby Covington welterweight title fight.

Askren was hosting the Fan Q&A prior to the UFC London ceremonial weigh ins (watch them here) and tried to talk some trash about “The Gorilla” amid boos from the hometown crowd. Till caught wind of the hatchet job and tried to intervene, but security did its job and kept things from getting physical.

No doubt we haven’t seen (or heard) the last of these two.
