Who is Darren Till fighting next?

That’s a great question, because the Ultimate Fighting Championship (UFC) welterweight standout is already ranked No. 2 at 170 pounds, so anything less than a title fight would be a step backwards.

As of this writing, Tyron Woodley is the reigning division titleholder while Colby Covington wears the substitute strap. I think most mixed martial arts (MMA) fans expect them to fight at some point over the next few months to unify the belts.

Would Till be willing to wait until the end of the year to fight?

If not, the only fighter ranked above Stephen Thompson — who Till defeated by unanimous decision earlier this year in Liverpool — is former lightweight champion Rafael dos Anjos. The Brazilian came up short against Covington at UFC 225.

“Vegas Wednesday to watch UFC 226 and plan my next fight,” Till wrote on social media.

Let the speculation begin.
