If you know one thing about Ultimate Fighting Championship (UFC) president Dana White, it’s that he can change his mind at the drop of a hat, and a fight he wasn’t feeling before can be a reality 15 minutes later.

After saying he wasn’t too interested in booking Israel Adesanya’s first Middleweight title defense againstformer two-time title contender, Yoel Romero, White has seemingly changed his tune.

Speaking to Kevin Iole, Dana has had a change of heart regarding the possible championship fight, and it has to do with “The Last Stylebender” openly calling for a showdown against “Soldier of God.”

Indeed, White previously stated that Romero needed to get back into the win column first before getting his third shot at UFC gold. In his last outing, Yoel came up short to Paulo Costa at UFC 241 a few months ago (highlights).

Speaking of Costa, he was in line to be Israel’s first challenge after Adesanya won the title at UFC 243, but after “Borrachinha” suffered an untimely injury, he was sent to the shelf, prompting the promotion to look elsewhere.

That said, if a fight between Adesanya and Romero doesn’t get booked in the next few months, then perhaps it would give “The Equalizer” enough time to get healthy in order to receive his much-deserved shot at the title.

Stay tuned.
