Brazilian featherweight Sheymon Moraes is no longer with the UFC.

After five fights with the promotion, Brazilian UFC featherweight Sheymon Moraes has been shown the door.

Moraes, who once challenged for the WSOF bantamweight title, announced on Instagram on Thursday that he was no longer under UFC contract.

“Hey, guys. Unfortunately I’m here to give you some bad news. As of today, I’m not a part of the UFC anymore. But that’s it, life goes on”

Starting off his UFC career with a submission loss to the hot prospect Zabit Magomedsharipov, Moraes (11-4) then picked up two consecutive wins in 2018 against Matt Sayles and Julio Arce, both by decision. His winning streak was stopped at the hands of Sodiq Yusuff when Moraes lost a unanimous decision in March of this year, and a KO loss to Andre Fili in July would be his last fight for the UFC.

In his social media post, Moraes didn’t give any clues to what he would being doing next in his career.
