Last time he fought in his homeland of Brazil, Mauricio “Shogun” Rua lost via knockout to Dan Henderson.

This time out, he’ll look to make things right on the home front against another heavy-handed slugger.

The former UFC light heavyweight champion will meet Britain’s Jimi Manuwa in the main event of a UFC Fight Night card on Nov. 8. Combate originally reported the news, which was confirmed by MMAFighting.com. The card is expected to take place in Uberlandia, Minas Gerais.

Rua (22-9) has dropped three out of his past four fights, including a third-round knockout loss to Henderson on March 23 in a bout he had been winning before getting tagged. His last win over over James Te Huna in Australia on Dec. 7.

Manuwa (14-1), meanwhile, is looking to shake off his first career loss, to Alexander Gustafsson in March. All 14 of the Londoner’s victories have come by way of finish, with 13 by KO/TKO.
