Ultimate Fighting Championship (UFC) President, Dana White, promised mixed martial arts (MMA) fans that Georges St-Pierre would fight Anderson Silva — at middleweight — if the French Canadian welterweight was able to defeat Jake Shields at UFC 129 in Toronto.

“Rush” captured a five-round unanimous decision win.

The Silva fight never came to fruition, but two years after the fact, White once again assured the combat sports community that St-Pierre would throw hands with “The Spider” if he was able to notch yet another successful title defense against Carlos Condit at UFC 154.

I think you know where I’m going with this.

Fast-forward to 2019 and it’s safe to say this fight is never going to happen, though Silva, 44, is still convinced the 38 year-old St-Pierre is to blame, especially since the former welterweight champion came out of retirement to battle Michael Bisping for a one-and-done title fight at 185 pounds.

But in case you were wondering what it would look like if and when they ever went to war, the guys and gals at MMA Junkie were on hand for the Olympia expo in Las Vegas and scored footage of this impromptu face off.

Somewhere in Dagestan, a UFC lightweight champion is green with envy.
