Bellator’s Season Six Bantamweight Tournament is starting to shape up as five fighters have already been identified for the upcoming tournament.

Taking up five slots of the eight man 135-pound tournament are Marcos ‘Loro’ Galvao (10-5-1), Rodrigo ‘Ratinho’ Lima (9-0), Luis ‘Betao’ Nogueira (12-2), Ed ‘Wild’ West (17-6), Masakatsu Ueda (14-1-2), and Alexis ‘The Exorcist’ Vila (11-1).

News of the latest additions to the season six tournament were announced by both Sherdog.com and MMAjunkie.com, who learned of the news from sources close to the tournament.

The sixth season of Bellator Figthing Championships tournament style events kicks off this coming March, as well as including a bantamweight tournament, will also include tournaments in the featherweight, lightweight, welterweight and middleweight divisions.

Returning from last seasons tournament will be Alexis Vila, who lost in the finals to Eduardo Dantas, Ed West, who was stopped by Dantas in the semifinals, Luis Nogueira, who lost to West in the quarterfinals, and Marcos Galvao, who was stopped by Vila in the semifinals.

Ueda, who was a mainstay with the Shooto promotion in Japan having carried the promotions 132-pound title for two years, will make his North American debut at the event.

While Lima, another promotion newcomer, will also fight for the first time in North America having competed exclusively in Brazil since the start of his career.
