Light heavyweight Anthony Smith doesn’t seem to be dwelling on any potential issues with his corner, or injuries, or the stoppage in his loss at UFC Jacksonville Wednesday night.

Despite the crushing loss at the hands of Glover Teixeira earlier this week, UFC light heavyweight Anthony Smith wants to assure fans he’s gonna be just fine.

Smith took to Instagram and left a heartfelt message alongside a photo of the light heavyweight top contender snuggled up with one of his kids, making it clear that he’s not concerned in the slightest with any sort of controversy stemming from the fight.

Everyone is arguing about good stop, bad stop, bad corner, good corner…blah blah blah. I’m still winning. I’m good, and I’m exactly where i need to be, doing exactly what I’m supposed to be doing. All that time spent worrying about me needs to be spent somewhere a little more productive.

While only 31 years of age, Smith has racked up a 33-15 record—having been a highly active fighter going all the way back to 2008. He’s currently on an 8-4 run in his second stint in the UFC, with only three fights going to the judges in that stretch.

Clearly, he lives up to his ‘Lionheart’ moniker, demonstrating in each outing his do-or-die attitude. But for many, his latest loss seemed as though it pushed that ideology to the breaking point.

Smith suffered a beating for the ages against Teixeira on Wednesday night, with many cricicisms levied at both his training staff and referee Jason Herzog as a result. Still, it seems the Factory X fighter is deciding to remain above the fray, and taking time to appreciate what he has in his life outside of fighting. Let’s hope he heals up quick.
