The legendary Manny Pacquiao will be back in action this Sunday (July 28, 2024) when the boxing great competes at Super RIZIN 3 in a three-round, special rules exhibition match against kickboxing specialist Rukiya Anpo from inside Saitama Super Arena in Saitama, Japan.

Pacquiao, who turns 46 later this year, signed up for his return to combat sports this past June. “Pac Man” hasn’t competed professionally since a surprising decision loss to Yordenis Ugas back in August 2021 and hasn’t fought in any capacity since an exhibition win over DK Yoo in Dec. 2022. Fight fans were hoping the former world champion might venture back into the boxing ring for a real fight, but they’ll have to make due with this three-round specialty bout.

On Saturday, Pacquiao and Rukiya came together for their official faceoff. There’s no bad blood between the two fighters, but it was still an intense moment (as it is with any “Pac Man” staredown). Check it out below:

Here’s some additional footage of Pacquiao’s workout from earlier this week:

Super RIZIN 3 will begin streaming LIVE this Sunday on RIZIN pay-per-view (PPV) at 12 a.m. ET (5 a.m. UK time) with the ring walks for Pacquiao vs. Anpo scheduled for 5 a.m. ET (10 a.m. UK time). As with all live events, the ring walk times are approximate and subject to change, depending on how the preceding fights play out. International fans looking to watch Super RIZIN 3 can stream directly from the promotion’s website HERE.
