A Featherweight scrap between Jeremy Stephens and Calvin Kattar is in the process of getting re-booked to go down at the upcoming UFC 249 pay-per-view (PPV) event — which is slated to take place on April 18 inside Barclays Center in Brooklyn, NY.

That’s according to MMA Junkie, who got word that after Stephens came down with an injury, the proposed date of March 7 at UFC 248 was out of the question, and the promotion is now eyeing the 145-pound collision a month later.

Stephens is looking to snap a three-fight losing streak — the longest of his career — to avoid falling further down the 145-pound ladder. In his last outing, “Lil’ Heathen” was out-gunned by Yair Rodriguez, who defeated him at UFC on ESPN 6 last October (recap).

Jeremy’s last win came in early 2018, knocking out Josh Emmett in Orlando, Florida.

Kattar, meanwhile, is coming off a tough loss to Zabit Magomedsharipov last November. Prior to that, Calvin had won 12 of 13, making him one of the rising stars in the division. With a record of 4-2 so far inside the Octagon, Kattar is looking for one of the biggest wins of his career in Brooklyn.

UFC 249 is set to feature a highly-anticipated Lightweight title fight between division champion, Khabib Nurmagomedov, and No. 1 contender, Tony Ferguson. This will be the fifth time the promotion books this fight, and if it falls through once again, Conor McGregor will be on standby ready to fill the void.
