Steve Bosse will finally make his UFC debut in June.
The Canadian fighter, who stepped in as a ‘plan B’ for Quinton Jackson vs. Fabio Maldonado at UFC 186, is now set to face Thiago Santos at The Ultimate Fighter Brazil 4 Finale event in Sao Paulo, Brazil, on June 27.
According to the UFC, Bosse will be cutting down to 185 pounds for the bout.
Bosse (10-1) retired from the sport a year ago after pulling out of his UFC debut against Ryan Jimmo due to an injury, but decided to return to replace “Rampage” at UFC 186. Jackson was cleared to compete days before the event, and Bosse again was forced to cancel a fight.
A former TUF: Brazil contestant, Santos (10-3) enters the bout coming off a first-round victory over Andy Enz in January. “Marreta” is 2-2 under the UFC banner with both of his wins coming in quick knockouts.
TUF: Brazil 4 Finale takes place at the Ibirapuera gymnasium in Sao Paulo, Brazil, and features Erick Silva vs. Rick Story in the main event.
