A lot of sports fans were up in arms when LeBron James announced he was ditching the Cleveland Cavaliers to go play basketball for the Los Angeles Lakers, the iconic NBA team that ponied up $154 million across four years for the “King” of the court.

Cleveland native and Ohio sports fanatic Stipe Miocic wasn’t one of them.

“I’m not mad all, whatever’s best for him, it’s his legacy,” Miocic said. “He brought a title back like he said he would, you can’t be mad at the guy. It’s whatever he wants. At least he didn’t wait until the end like last time.”

The Cavaliers won the NBA championship back in 2016 and Miocic crashed the victory parade in Cleveland (video). “The Rock and Roll Capital of the World” tried to add yet another title that year, but the Indians came up short against the Chicago Cubs in game seven of the World Series.

They should have asked Miocic to pinch hit.

Miococ (18-2) will put his heavyweight title on the line against light heavyweight champion, Daniel Cormier, in the UFC 226 pay-per-view (PPV) main event this Saturday night (July 7, 2018) in Las Vegas, Nevada.
