Current Ultimate Fighting Championship (UFC) heavyweight champion Stipe Miocic has a pretty busy couple of days ahead of him, as the hard-hitting big man is set to defend his 265-pound strap against current Light Heavyweight champion Daniel Cormier at Saturday’s (July 7, 2018) UFC 226 pay-per-view (PPV) event in Las Vegas, Nevada.

After that, Stipe — who is still an active firefighter in his hometown of Cleveland, Ohio — hopes to be the one to deliver his baby girl into the world, as he told “The Rich Eisen Show” his wife is due any day now with their first child.

And while there is a big possibility his wife can have the baby while he is in “Sin City” taking care of his business in one of the biggest fights of his life, he hopes she can hang on until after he gets through “DC.”

“I have not (delivered a baby during time as a firefighter/paramedic). A few times we were close. So hopefully she doesn’t come out because I get to deliver her because I’m a medic. I will be there, doctor right next to me but he said when she comes out I can deliver her,” said an ecstatic Stipe, who was floored by the news he was going to do the honors.

“When he told me that, I was like ‘Yeah, right.’ But he told me he was serious, with people who are nurses, medics. That made my life. God I am so excited,” added the hulking big man.

Before then, of course, Stipe looks to add to his record-setting run at heavyweight by collecting his third straight title defense against one of best fighters to ever step into the Octagon.

And while he knows it’s no easy task, he is confident he will be walking out of T-Mobile Arena with his third belt and head straight home to deliver his new baby girl as reigning and defending heavyweight champion.

Plus, Stipe will glued to a television prior to his fight as he will be rooting for Croatia to take out Russia in order to make into the final four of the 2018 World Cup Saturday morning. It’s truly good to be Stipe right now.
