Sean Strickland will try to rebound from a recent knockout loss when he takes on Nordine Taleb at UFC Fight Night 138 on Oct. 27 from inside SMG Moncton in Moncton, New Brunswick, Canada, per a recent announcement by the promotion.

Strickland, 27, just lost to Elizeu Zaleski dos Santos at UFC 224 this past May. Before that, Strickland had racked off a 6-2 UFC record since his promotional debut in 2014. The former King of the Cage middleweight champion hasn’t quite lived up to the hype since coming over from the European circuit, but he’s still an extremely talented and athletically gifted fighter at 170 pounds.

Taleb, 37, has posted a 6-3 record since his UFC debut back in 2014. Coming off a submission loss to Claudio Silva this past May, Taleb really needs to get back into the win column to stay afloat in the welterweight division. The Canadian veteran is a stiff test for any fighter ranked outside of the top 15 so it will be interesting to see how aggressive Strickland approaches this fight.

UFC Fight Night 138 will be headlined by a light heavyweight clash between former title challenger Volkan Oezdemir and surging contender Anthony Smith.
