The Washington State Department of Licensing released payroll and gate numbers for this past Fridays, June 24, Strikeforce Challengers 16 (aka Strikeforce Challengers: Fodor vs. Terry) event.
Despite the show drawing an average number of viewers on television, the event did not draw many fans into the ShoWare Center in Kent, Washington.
A total of 1,901 fans were in attendance, of which only 883 of those tickets were purchased by fans, for a live gate of $42,725.
That live gate total doesn’t even cover half of the $87,500 handed out to the sixteen fighters who competed on the card.
The top earner for the event was Caros Fodor ($16,000) who earned $8,000 to show and another $8,000 for his decision win over opponent James Terry ($4,000). While co-main event fighter, Ryan Couture ($10,000) earned the second highest payout, despite losing by decision to Matt Ricehouse ($6,000).
