The California State Athletic Commission released the fighter salaries for this past weekends Strikeforce: Diaz vs. Daley event in San Diego, Calif. The event took place at the Valley View Casino Center with the main card airing on Showtime.
A total payroll of $769,740 was paid out to the twenty competitors from last Saturday night.
The top earner was Strikeforce welterweight champ Nick Diaz, who earned $175,000 for his first round TKO win over British opponent Paul “Semtex” Daley, who earned $65,000 in the loss.
The next highest paid fighters received $150,000, with lightweight champ Gilbert Melendez and former light heavyweight champ Gegard Mousasi earning equal payouts for their victories.
