Strikeforce promotions has picked Houston’s Toyota Center on Aug. 21 as the date and place where their next big fight card will take place. Featuring a title bout between newly crowned champion Muhummad “King Mo” Lawal and Rafael “Feijao” Cavalcante and the return of former EliteXC champion KJ Noons, it looks to be a solid card indeed. While nothing has been officially announced, here are some of the expected fights:
Bobby Lashley vs. not yet known opponent
Jorge Gurgel vs. K.J. Noons
Ronaldo “Jacare” Souza vs. Tim Kennedy (Strikeforce Middleweight Championship Bout)
Rafael “Feijao” Cavalcante vs. Muhammad “King Mo” Lawal (Strikeforce Light Heavyweight Championship)
There’s been mention of Bigfoot Silva being on the card, but nothing solid yet. The MMA News will update the matches as they become official.
