Squaring off in a women’s middleweight (145 lbs) bout will be Sarah “The Monster” D’Alelio (4-1) and Ronda ‘Rowdy’ Rousey (2-0). While a women’s welterweight (135 lbs) bout, which was originally supposed to happen on the Strikeforce: Overeem vs. Werdum card, will now take place between Alexis Davis (9-4) and Julie ‘Fireball’ Kedzie (16-8).

All four women will make their Strikeforce debut on the card, which is set to take place on July 30 at the Sears Centre in Hoffman Estates, Illinois. The event already features one women’s bout, as welterweight champ Marloes Coenen defends her title against Miesha Tate.

The update was posted by Strikeforce officials via Twitter (@Strikeforce) on Friday afternoon.

Rousey is a former Olympic Judo medalist, earning Bronze at the 2008 Beijing games for the United States. She made her pro debut this year, winning both bouts in under a minute with an armbar submission.

This will be ‘The Monster’ D’Alelio’s first bout of the year after a successful 2010 that saw her go 4-1. Her last bout was a decision loss to Julie Kedzie last December on one of the Jackson’s MMA Series events.

The Canadian, Davis, comes into the fight having defended her Raging Wolf Women’s Flyweight title last November, submitting her opponent Tonya Evinger with a first round submission.

Kedzie had been scheduled to debut in June at the Strikeforce Challengers 16 event, but the bout was cancelled when opponent Amanda Nunes pulled out due to injury. Kedzie has won four straight and recently won the Jackson’s MMA Series Women’s Bantamweight title last April.
