Former King of the Cage champ, and current Strikeforce lightweight fighter, Bobby ‘King’ Green (17-5) has been forced to withdraw from his upcoming fight with Alonzo Martinez (35-15-1) at this coming weekends Strikeforce: Rockhold vs. Jardine event.

Green has suffered an undisclosed injury according to MMAjunkie.com, who reported the news on Saturday evening.

The Strikeforce: Rockhold vs. Jardine event is scheduled to take place on January 7, 2012 at the Hard Rock Hotel and Casino in Las Vegas, Nevada. The main card is set to air on Showtime, while the preliminary card airs live on Showtime Extreme.

Green is 2-1 since joining Strikeforce this past summer. He lost his debut to Gesias Cavalcante via split decision in July but bounced back by earning two submission victories by stopping Charon Spain in September and J.P. Reese in November.
