Strikeforce fighter, and current DREAM light heavyweight champion, Gegard Mousasi (31-3-2) will reportedly fight for the Zuffa owned promotion at an upcoming December event.
News surfaced Monday at MMAjunkie.com who learned of the news from sources close to the fighter, noting that the date for the event was December 17. The same event female fan favorite Gina Carano is reportedly set to return for.
Other than the December 17 date, no other news has surfaced regarding the event as to a location or other possible participants.
Mousasi successfully defended his DREAM title last July, stopping Hiroshi Izumi by TKO in the first round of their DREAM: Japan GP Final event bout. The win puts the Armenian at 3-0-1 in his last four matches, having fought former UFC vet Keith Jardine to a majority draw last April in Mousasi’s last Strikeforce appearance.
