A heavyweight fight between Stefan Struve and Marcin Tubyra has been booked for UFC Hamburg on July 22nd.

A fight between two heavyweights who are both in desperate need of a win has been added to UFC Hamburg on July 22nd, as Stefan Struve will fight Marcin Tybura.

MMANytt first reported the potential matchup last week. The UFC confirmed the heavyweight matchup on Twitter on Friday.

Struve (28-10) is currently on a two-fight losing streak, falling short to Andrei Arlovski at UFC 222 in March, and being finished by Alexander Volkov at UFC Rotterdam last September. “Skyscraper” hasn’t been in the win column since October 2016, when he defeated Daniel Omielanczuk by second round D’Arce choke at UFC 204.

Much like his opponent, Tybura (16-4) has also lost his last two fights. Suffering a TKO loss to Derrick Lewis at UFC Austin in February, he also dropped a unanimous decision loss to Fabricio Werdum in November 2017, The former M-1 heavyweight champion won three consecutive fights before his most recent losses, finishing Luis Henrique and Viktor Pesta, and winning a decision against Andrei Arlovski.

UFC Hamburg will take place at the Barclaycard Arena in Hamburg, Germany on July 22nd. The card will be headlined by a light heavyweight fight between Volkan Oezdemir and Shogun Rua.
