Tatiana Suarez has quickly captured the hearts of fights fans around the world thanks to her dominate fighting style which usually sees her take her opponents down and put a merciless beating on them.
They don’t call her the “Female Khabib” for nothing.
That dominance was once again on full display this past Saturday night (Sept. 8, 2018) after she beat down former Ultimate Fighting Championship (UFC) women’s Bantamweight champion, Carla Esparza, at UFC 228 in Dallas, Texas.
At 7-0, 4-0 UFC, Suarez is on the fast track to a shot at the 115-pound title, and says should she ever see herself paired up against current division champion Rose Namajunas, the beating will be much worse than it was for “Cookie Monster.”
“Ha, no,” she laughed when asked if Rose can handle her wrestling during an interview on the Top Turtle Podcast via Flo Combat.
“I think I’ll do the same thing I did to Esparza—I’ll do the same thing to Rose. It actually might be worse because Rose isn’t nearly as good of a wrestler as Esparza. She’s longer, but that’s about it. We saw what Esparza did to Rose,” Suarez said. “And I think I’m the best wrestler in the division.”
Taking to Twitter, Suarez had a message for haters and critics who say she’s only dominate given her size advantage.
People are so funny. Constantly putting me down. Every time I win it’s because I’m way bigger than every1 in my division. It has nothing to do with the fact that I’ve wrestled since I was 3yrs old or the fact that I work my ass off every day to be successful at my craft.

If both fighters weigh in the same, it’s fair game.
Tatiana is is confident she is the best wrestler in the division, and says the rest of the field can’t compare.
“I think [people in my division] know how to shoot, they’re powerful—like Claudia [Gadelha] and [Jessica] Andrade,” Suarez said. “There’s a difference between knowing how to shoot and actually knowing how to wrestle. I know how to wrestle,” she added.
“I know second, third, fourth, chain wrestling—chain wrestling and scrambling—that’s what I’m known for,” Suarez said. “Even when they think they’re going to get out, they’re not.”
As for the possibility of facing Namajunas, that is still a bit unclear at the moment, as Jessica Andrade likely punched her way to a title fight with her knockout win over Karolina Kowalkiewicz, also at UFC 228.
That said, Rose won’t be competing anytime soon — if at all this year — due to a nagging neck injury. Should she be out for an extended period of time, perhaps Tatiana and Jessica can get it one in a true title eliminator match.
