Rodolfo Vieira scored another submission stoppage earlier tonight (Sat., Mar. 7, 2020) at UFC 248 live on ESPN+ PPV from inside T-Mobile Arena in Las Vegas, Nevada, as he ended middleweight veteran Saparbek Safarov via first-round arm triangle choke.
Vieira had to push through an early front kick that left his eye badly swollen, but it was only a matter of time before the Brazilian got Safarov to the ground. After a slamming takedown, Vieira was able to quickly move into position to lock an arm up and scoot over into side control for an arm triangle choke. Safarov stood zero chance of busting free and quickly tapped.

With this performance, Vieira locks down his second-straight Octagon finish after choking out Oskar Piechota in his debut back in August. The BJJ legend had to eat a hard kick in this fight to find the finish, but he looks poised for a massive 2020 campaign.
