Mickey Gall returned to the UFC win column earlier tonight (Sat., July 24, 2021) at UFC Vegas 32 live on ESPN/ESPN+ from inside UFC APEX in Las Vegas, Nevada, when the welterweight stopped rising prospect Jordan Williams via first-round submission (rear-naked choke).
Gall hasn’t fought in over a year and had a lot of time to develop his striking alongside UFC veteran Matt Brown. It truly showed as the grappling specialist unloaded heavy hands on Williams in the early going. That forced Williams to tie up and it gave Gall the window of opportunity to use his submission skills. Gall was able to transition to back control and eventually sunk in a tight rear-naked choke. Williams didn’t stand a chance.

Gall once again rights the ship at 170 pounds after coming off a decision loss to Mike Perry back in June 2020. As long as Gall can stay healthy he should be able to take his new found power and make a push towards the division’s top 15.
