On Tuesday, the Nevada State Athletic Commission released the medical suspensions for this past weekends TUF 16 Finale: Nelson vs. Mitrione event, naming ten fighters who will have to sit out for various lengths of time.
Saddled with the longest suspensions, potentially up to six months, were fighters Pat Barry, Marcos Vinicius, Vinc Pichel and John Cofer, who can all have their sentences shortened following clearance by a physician.
The TUF 16 Finale took place on December 15, 2012 at The Joint in the Hard Rock Hotel & Casino in Las Vegas, Nevada. The main card aired live on FX, while the prelim card was split between Fuel TV and streaming video on Facebook.

Main Card (FX)
Matt Mitrione: Suspended until Jan. 30, 2013 with no contact until Jan. 15.
Pat Barry: Must have right foot x-rayed. If positive, he must get orthopedic clearance or he is suspended until June 15, 2013.
Shane Del Rosario: Suspended until Jan. 30, 2013 with no contact until Jan. 15.
Preliminary Card (Fuel TV)
James Head: Suspended until Jan. 30, 2013 with no contact until Jan. 15 due to right upper eyelid laceration.
Marcos Vinicius: Must clear right infraorbital rim fracture, anterior right maxillary sinus and nasal fractures with Ear, Nose, and Throat doctor or Maxillofacial surgeon or he is suspended until June 15, 2013. Faces a minimum suspension until Feb. 14 with no contact until Jan. 30.
Vince Pichel: Must have left foot cleared by an orthopedic doctor or he is suspended until June 15, 2013. Faces a minimum suspension until Feb. 14 with no contact until Jan. 30.
Nick Catone: Suspended until Jan. 15, 2013 with no contact until Jan. 6.

Reuben Duran: Suspended until Jan. 30, 2013 with no contact until Jan. 15.
John Cofer: Must have his right shoulder x-rayed and cleared by an orthopedic doctor or he is suspended until June 15, 2013.
Jared Papazian: Suspended until Jan. 30, 2013 with no contact until Jan. 15 due to a laceration above his left eye.
