Ultimate Fighting Championship (UFC) recently tied a ribbon around its UFC 253 pay-per-view (PPV) event, which took place last Sat. night (Sept. 26, 2020) inside Flash Forum on “Fight Island” in Abu Dhabi. That’s where Israel Adesanya retained his 185-pound strap by smashing former undefeated title contender Paulo Costa.

Elsewhere on the card, Jan Blachowicz claimed the 205-pound title vacated by Jon Jones, thanks to an impressive knockout victory over light heavyweight mainstay Dominick Reyes. In addition, flyweight phenom Brandon Royval submitted Kai Kara-France while Ketlen Vieira turned away bantamweight bruiser Sijara Eubanks.
