Former UFC veteran and Sengoku middleweight champion, the ‘Sandman’ Jorge Santiago (23-10) is ready to get back into action on March 2nd when he meets Nova Uniao fighter Leonardo Pecanha (14-7) in the main event of Titan Fighting Championship 21.
Titan Fighting Championship 21 is scheduled to take place on Friday March 2, 2012 at the historic Memorial Hall in Kansas City. The Main card is set to air live on HDNet.
Santiago had his last fight in October, losing his second straight in the Octagon. The loss, which saw the ‘Sandman’ receive his walking papers, came via unanimous decision to Demian Maia at UFC 136. Previous to that, Santiago debuted at UFC 130 versus Brian Stann and ended with a TKO loss to the former Marine in the second round.
Pecanha is 6-1 in his last seven bouts, having had his last fight in May of last year, a first round submission at an X-Combat Ultra event in Brazil. Before that win, Pecanha appeared at a Bellator 22 event back in June 2010, tapping to a rear-naked choke to Tyler-Stinson in the first round at the Missouri event.
