Ultimate Fighting Championship (UFC) middleweight contender, Derek Brunson, is tired of hearing about how wonderful Israel Adesanya has been inside the Octagon, considering “The Last Stylebender” has just three fights — two of them decisions — since crossing over from the regional circuit earlier this year.

So, in an effort to put the Nigerian in his place, Brunson is asking to fight the undefeated Adesanya at the upcoming UFC 230 pay-per-view (PPV) event, recently made official for Sat., Nov. 3, 2018 inside Madison Square Garden in New York City.

“Listen here,” Brunson said (transcribed by BJPenn.com). “You run your mouth a lot. You talk a lot. You mention my name a couple times. Now I mention your name, boy. November the 3rd, Madison Square Garden, UFC 230. Pull up. Embarrassment party. I’m going to embarrass you, boy. You talk too much.”

Talking too much is how you get to the potato patch top these days.

Brunson (18-6) is coming off a technical knockout loss to Ronaldo Souza at the UFC on FOX 27 event back in January. The loss to “Jacare” snapped a two-fight win streak and cost him a couple of spots in the middleweight rankings.

It’s a solid fight for the 14-0 Adesanya … unless you like this one better.
