Zane Simon & Victor Rodriguez are joined by D.E.O. to look at this week’s RIZIN card going down in Saitama, Japan. Featuring a kickboxing superfight between Tenshin Nasukawa and Kyoji Horiguchi.
While Bellator takes the spotlight for the most high profile event in MMA this week, RIZIN is in firm contention for best fight booking. Japan’s largest MMA promotion has struggled to find the same sense of grandeur it started with lately, but they’ve got a card that appears to be firing on all cylinders this time around. In the main event former UFC title contender and RIZIN star Kyoji Horiguchi takes on unbeaten kickboxing phenom Tenshin Nasukawa.
The card also features former Invicta champion Ayaka Hamasaki and the debut of sumo wrestler Kintaro Osunaarashi taking a toe dip into MMA with a freak fight against Bob Sapp. Round things out with Daron Cruickshank vs. Diego Brandao, Jiri Prochazka, and a Mirko CroCop fight and this looks like it’ll be a blast.
