Michael Chandler has taken the high road in response to Conor McGregor’s injury and subsequent removal from UFC 303 later this month.

It was a tough pill to swallow to learn that his long-awaited showdown with McGregor would be delayed even longer, but Chandler seems to be in good spirits following the official cancelation of their bout this past Thursday. McGregor tried to remain on the UFC 303 card, but he was ultimately forced to remove himself from the fight for the first time in his UFC career.

Chandler, who has remained on the sidelines for 18 months in effort to score a big matchup with McGregor, has been pretty silent over the past 48 hours. He shared a statement on Friday that didn’t come directly from him then a video of himself later that night pouring a glass full of his signature tequila.

On Saturday, Chandler took to social media following McGregor’s first official statement to offer his own take on UFC 303’s fallout. Check it out below:

“Official statement: ‘I’m here, just as in 2009 when I started. The most reliable man in MMA. See you when I see you.’”

“No hard feelings. Heal Up. My heart is full. See you soon.”

It’s unknown at this time when McGregor vs. Chandler will be re-booked, but the initial belief is that “Notorious” will only need a few months to recover from whatever injury he suffered. At least fight fans got a great replacement fight to headline UFC 303 on June 29, as Alex Pereira defends his UFC light heavyweight title in a rematch against former champion Jiri Prochazka.
