As expected, former UFC bantamweight title contender Urijah Faber, who wore gold as a featherweight for WEC, is getting closer to making his MMA comeback after retiring from combat sports back in late 2016 (watch his farewell speech here).

Not because he’s planning for another run at the 135-pound title, currently up for grabs in the wake of TJ Dillashaw’s drug-testing suspension, but rather because “The California Kid” wants to feel … well, like a kid again.

“I know my baby is keeping me young… but a good ol’ fist fight could help the cause,” Faber wrote on social media. “UFC Sacramento on the Horizon, 145 or 135 and who would be fun?”

Faber, 40, recently became a father and let’s face it, $320,000 for another UFC win would go a long way in paying for diapers. A box of Huggies is roughly 40 bucks these days and babies shit like eight times a day.

Especially when you feed them refried beans and apple juice, like I did.

UFC Sacramento, taking place in Faber’s backyard, goes down July 13. Not surprisingly, the last time we saw the former Ultimate Fighter (TUF) coach was in Sacramento for UFC on FOX 22, where he dispatched fellow veteran Brad Pickett by way of unanimous decision.

So … if and when the 34-10 Faber returns, who do you want to see him fight?
