A pair of lightweight veterans have seen their fight moved from the now cancelled 151 event, to the upcoming UFC on FX 5 card, as Brazilian Thiago Tavares (17-4-1) takes on Dennis ‘Superman’ Hallman (51-14-2, 1NC) in Minnesota.

Officials announced the change on Twitter (@ufc) on Friday.

UFC on FX: Browne vs. Bigfoot is expected to take place October 5 at the Target Center in Minneapolis, Minnesota. The event is currently rumored to feature thirteen matches for the television event.

Tavares appeared at the last two Rio de Janeiro events, winning both times by earning a decision against Sam Stout at UFC 142, and a second round TKO victory over Spencer Fisher at UFC 134. Tavares is 4-1-1 over his last six matches having suffered a knockout loss at the hands of Shane Roller at UFC on Versus 3 in March of last year.

Hallman is set to make his official lightweight debut inside the Octagon, having fought at welterweight previously and missing weight at UFC 140 last December. Hallman hit the scales at 158.5-lbs for the Toronto show and would go on to defeat John Makdessi via first round submission. So far ‘Superman’ is 3-2 with the UFC.
