Henry Cejudo wants to become the first UFC fighter to hold championship titles in three different weight classes, a dream shared (and unrealized) by fellow retired superstars Conor McGregor and Georges St-Pierre.
“Notorious” teased a welterweight strap while “Rush” set his sights on lightweight gold.
But in order for Cejudo to accomplish that feat, he must first convince reigning featherweight kingpin Alexander Volkanovski to sign on the dotted line. And it doesn’t sound like “The Great” will be warming up to the idea anytime soon.

Cejudo, who also held gold at 125 pounds, was calling for a Volkanovski showdown as far back as February, long before his bantamweight title defense against Dominick Cruz at UFC 249. Those taunts didn’t appear to gain any traction at the time and despite follow-up callouts, the Aussie seems content to focus on the top contenders at 145 pounds.
And that list is getting longer by the minute.
