It seems that the Strikeforce promotion has more than one fighter upset with some of their announced matchups. Recently Evangelista “Cyborg” Santos voiced his displeasure over losing out on a fight with newcomer Paul “Semtex” Daley. Now Strikeforce middleweight fighter Tim Kennedy (12-3) has come out saying he is “pissed” over the announced matchup between Robbie Lawler vs. Matt Lindland.
Kennedy spoke out on his Facebook page, noting that he wanted to fight either fighter next.
“Im so pissed. I asked for Robbie Lawler or Matt Lindland (in addition to a bunch of other guys) if I didn’t get Jacare, and now they are fighting eachother?!?!?”
Kennedy is coming off of a Strikeforce middleweight title loss to Ronaldo “Jacaré” Souza at last August’s Strikeforce: Houston event. It may be that the promotion is looking to book a rematch between the two but no news has surfaced as of yet.
