One of the biggest boxing matches of the year will unfold later this evening (Sat., Nov. 28, 2020) live on FITE PPV from inside Staples Center in Los Angeles, Calif., as Mike Tyson and Roy Jones Jr. dust off the gloves to clash in a highly-anticipated exhibition showdown.
Tyson, 54, and Jones, 51, both looked to be in great shape for Friday’s weigh ins as each fighter makes his return to the ring. For Tyson, this fight is 15 years in the making after his last appearance back in 2005 in which he dropped a TKO loss to Kevin McBride. Jones, on the other hand, will be fighting for the first time since early 2018 when he scored a unanimous decision win over Scott Sigmon. The man known as “Superman” has actually won his last four professional bouts.
It will be one of the most talked about fights of 2020, but when exactly should fight fans expect Tyson and Jones to step inside of the ring for their main event showdown?
With three other fights filling a PPV main card starting at 9:00 p.m. ET, Tyson vs. Jones is likely to begin sometime around 11:00 p.m. ET. The co-main event will feature a clash between YouTube sensation Jake Paul and former NBA superstar Nate Robinson, but that cruiserweight fight is only scheduled for six rounds. Former WBC super-middleweight and WBA light heavyweight champion Badou Jack will also be in action as he matches up against undefeated fighter Blake McKernan.
If things run early/late Mania will be sure to provide an updated start time for tonight’s Tyson vs. Jones main event.
MMAmania.com will also deliver LIVE round-by-round, blow-by-blow coverage of the Tyson vs. Jones main card RIGHT HERE, which begins at 9 p.m. ET.
