Upstart Titan FC has added a highly-regarded prospect and a fan-favorite veteran to its growing roster.

According to CEO Jeff Aronson, the promotion recently inked Philip Hawes (3-0) and JZ Cavalcante (19-8) to six-fight contracts. Both fighters are expected to make their respective debuts at Titan FC 34 on a yet-to-be determined date in June in Montreal.

Hawes, one of the rising stars coming out Team Jackson-Winkeljohn in New Mexico, is a former Junior College National Wrestling champion from Iowa Central Community College. A current training partner for the likes of Jon Jones and Tim Kennedy, the 26-year-old Hawes made his MMA debut in Feb. 2014. Since then, he’s defeated the first three opponents that he’s faced via either TKO or submission.

Cavalcante, a veteran of 11 years, has won two of his last three fights, winning his last bout in September.

Aronson said the plan right now is to book Montreal’s Mike Ricci vs. Pat Healy for the TFC lightweight title in the main event, however, that fight has yet to be finalized. The promotion expects to announce the card’s specific date, location and opponents for both Hawes and Cavalcante in the near future.
