Press ReleaseThe weigh-ins for Titan Fighting Championship 16 (www.TitanFighting.com) have been scheduled for Thursday, January 27 at 5:00 p.m. CT at the Argosy Casino Hotel & Spa in Kansas City, Missouri.
The Argosy (www.StayArgosy.com), which is an event sponsor of Titan Fighting, is located at 777 N.W. Argosy Casino Parkway, Riverside, Missouri, 64150.
The weigh-ins will be open to the public and will be held in the Constellations Room, which is adjacent to the main casino. In addition to the fighters scheduled to compete at Titan Fighting Championship 16 on Friday, January 28, scheduled to appear at the weigh-ins is former UFC and PRIDE superstar Phil “The New York Bad Ass” Baroni. Baroni recently signed a multi-fight contract with Titan and will be debuting for the promotion on its next event in March.
“The show isn’t scheduled to happen until Friday but the fun will begin at the weigh-ins on Thursday at the Argosy. The Argosy is a world class resort with an amazing casino, great bars and restaurants, and a Vegas-style buffet,” said Titan Fighting Championship CEO Joe Kelly. “The weigh-ins will be a great chance for the public to stop by and meet the fighters and get autographs and pictures taken.”
In addition to Baroni’s appearance, Kelly will be making a special announcement at weigh-ins concerning Titan Fighting Championship 17, scheduled for March 25. Tickets for the event will also be on-sale as well and can be purchased without a surcharge.
Titan Fighting Championship 16 will be televised live nationally on HDNet starting at 10 p.m. ET/9 p.m. CT (visit www.HD.net for information on availability in your area) with eight fights scheduled to air during the broadcast. Doors to the event, which will be held at the historic Memorial Hall (located at 600 N. 7th Street, Kansas City, KS, 66102), will open at 7:00 p.m. CT with the local non-televised undercard commencing at 7:30 p.m. CT.
Tickets for the event start as low as $25 and are still available through local Ticketmaster outlets and on Ticketmaster.com. Tickets can also be purchased without a surcharge at the Memorial Hall box office from 10 a.m. CT to 3 p.m. CT.
