Tito Ortiz Announces Comeback via Bathroom Selfie; Will Bellator Bite?

(At least he didn’t tweet a picture of his dick this time.)

We guess being the best agent in MMA isn’t keeping Tito Ortiz occupied enough. The former long-time UFC light heavyweight champion hasn’t fought for a year now but recently tweeted that he’s considering a comeback.

The semi-retired fighter released a picture of himself and a series of tweets over the weekend that read, “Fighting is starting to sound fun again. ??????#Peopleschamp #comeback #Positive body is almost healed. @Punishment99 @ufc @Viacom @MTV @espn Come backs are always the best test! Live life to the fullest. #Positive.”

Tito is a great athlete and it’s impressive that he hasn’t gotten all fat and stuff since his competitive days, but the only thing that we’re #Positive about is that Tito has won just once over the past seven years in nine fights. Injuries — both real and imagined — and time take their toll on everyone, even formerly great fighters like Ortiz.

Clearly, Tito is trying to get the interest of any organization that will listen, by mentioning the UFC and Viacom, which now owns a majority stake Bellator. If Tito comes back, maybe it should be in Bellator where he at least won’t have to face the best light-heavyweights in the world.

We bet Viacom would give him a shot. Bjorn Rebney has said that he isn’t eager to sign Zuffa veterans but then Bellator has gone out and signed the biggest former Zuffa fighters they could every time.

Maybe Rebney means what he says, but there’s no indication that he’s actually in control of Bellator business decisions like these. First, it was King Mo. Then, Quinton Jackson. Maybe Tito Ortiz will be next?

What do you say, Nation? Is Tito serious or is this another attempt to get attention? Do you want to see “The Huntington Beach Bad Boy” back in the cage? And if so, where would you like to see him fight, and against whom?
