Former UFC champ Tito Ortiz remains active in MMA.

Despite multiple retirements in his 22-year hall-of-fame career, Tito Ortiz still continues to compete.

In November 2018, he fought at Golden Boy’s lone MMA venture, finally beating Chuck Liddell in a sad affair that probably shouldn’t have happened in the first place. Ortiz will likely make a return a year later.

As announced on Tuesday night, the 44-year-old will make his return in late 2019 to face a 42-year-old former pro-wrestler and WWE champion in Alberto Del Rio. According to ESPN, the bout will happen at a catchweight of 210 lbs, and no date or venue have been set just yet.

The MMA bout will happen under the Combate Americas banner, where Del Rio has served as a figurehead and brand ambassador.

The former professional wrestler has MMA experience, going 9-5 in his career. He was known for competing twice in PRIDE under the name Dos Caras Jr. He fought the likes of Mirko Cro Cop while wearing a luchador mask, and hasn’t competed in MMA since 2010.
