UFC officials have made an upcoming light heavyweight bout between “The Huntington Beach Bad Boy” Tito Ortiz (15-8-1) and Ryan “Darth” Bader (12-1) official for July’s UFC 132 event in Las Vegas.
UFC 132 is expected to take place at the Mandalay Bay Events Center in Las Vegas, Nevada. Already confirmed for the event are bouts between B.J. Penn vs. Jon Fitch who meet in a back-to-back rematch, Melvin Guillard vs. Shane Roller, George Sotiropoulos vs. Evan Dunham, and Dennis Siver vs. Matt Wiman.
The official announcement was posted on UFC.com.
Former UFC light heavyweight champion Tito Ortiz, who pulled out of his March 26th headlining bout against Rogerio Nogueria due to injury, has recovered and is back in fighting shape. “This MMA legend will meet top UFC contender Ryan Bader at UFC 132,” said UFC president Dana White, confirming that Ortiz and Bader have verbally agreed to a July bout. Bader is looking to rebound from a loss to newly crowned champ Jon Jones at UFC 126.
