Following a loss to Liam McGeary in a light heavyweight title bout at Bellator Dynamite 1, there was speculation whether Tito Ortiz would continue fighting. Tito gave a definitive answer to questions about his future in a recent interview with MMA Fighting.
“I’m a machine, man,” Ortiz told MMA Fighting in a recent interview. “I’ll be good. I’ll be good in about a month. I’ll fight this year, 100 percent.”
As far as a possible opponent goes, Ortiz didn’t think Fedor Emelianenko would be a good idea, but indicated he would step in the octagon with Kimbo Slice.
“I won’t take Fedor my first fight. I’m coming off an injury, you know. I want a warm-up first. Let’s do a warm-up first and let’s make it a big warm-up, so that everybody wants to watch it.”
“[Kimbo Slice] is a pretty damn good name,” Ortiz said with a laugh.
“One more month of rehab and then training. I had bone spurs removed. The pain is gone. I’ll be good to go.”
