Things got crazy at this weekend’s DEEPxJEWELS 19 event from Tokyo, Japan.

Meanwhile, in Japan …

Things may not be as crazy as they used to be in Japan with the end of PRIDE and other promotions struggling to carry the torch. But they still clearly have a lot of wacky moments to offer us as this clip from the weekend’s Deep / Jewels 19 event from Shinjuku Face in Tokyo.

Jewels is kind of like the Invicta FC of Japan as it’s another all female league and at their latest event on March 10th, 2018, 105 pound fighter Nanaka Kawamura came out with a freakin’ chainsaw. Watch here (courtesty of /r/MMA):

But in the end the cheery pop vibes and psycho killer props couldn’t propel Kawamura to a victory. She ended up losing her fight to Muzuki Furuse by majority decision (20-18, 20-18, 19-19). We gotta hand it to the judges for being willing to score a fight against the athlete with a chainsaw.
