Guillard also earned a TKO win over Waylon Lowe at UFC 114 and a unanimous decision win over Ronnys Torres at UFC 109. He was stopped by Nate Diaz at UFC Fight Night: Diaz vs. Guillard in Sept. 2009, which ended another three win run for the fighter.
Edwards is also on a hot hand winning his last two fights. The fighter returned to the UFC at last months Texas UFC Fight Night event, earning a unanimous decision over John Gunderson. Edwards last fight under the UFC banner was way back at UFC 61 in July of 2006, in a bout he lost by TKO (cut) to Joe Stevenson.
Edwards has manged to claw his way back into the UFC promotion going 5-1 in his last six bouts, earning the win over Gunderson and Luis Palominio at Bellator 24 recently. The loss was to Mike Campbell by unanimous decision at last May’s Moosin: God of Martial Arts event.
Alves made his UFC debut in his last fight against Mike Pierce at UFC 118. Pierce used a straight armbar to submit the Brazilian at the event. Before that, Alves had won 8 straight in various promotions throughout Brazil before being called up to the UFC. Of his 11 career wins, Alves has won 3 by knockout, 4 by submission and had 4 go to decision.
Brenneman finds himself in a similar situation as Alves, coming off a loss to Johny Hendricks at UFC 117, putting the fighter at a 1-1 record in the UFC. In his debut last March, Brenneman won a unanimous decision over Jason High at the UFC Fight Night: Florian vs. Gomi event. The loss ended a 6 fight win streak for the fighter.
