It looks like Tyson Fury is ready to mix it up in a WWE ring.

WWE pulled out all the stops for their debut show on Fox last Friday. You’ve probably already heard that former UFC heavyweight champion Cain Velasquez debuted on the show, attacking fellow former UFC champ Brock Lesnar. Well, he wasn’t the only combat sports champion to make an appearance – so did former boxing heavyweight champion Tyson Fury.

In the middle of an eight-man match, WWE bruiser Braun Strowmann went outside the ring to square up with Fury, who was sitting in the front row. It just seemed to be a cameo at the time, but Fury eventually jumped the rail and tried to go after Strowmann in the ring, before being held back by a multitude of security people:

Following the show, WWE announced that Fury will be handed an open mic tonight on Monday Night Raw. This is apparently being done to set up a match with Strowmann that could take place on their next Saudi Arabia show on October 31st. That is likely where Cain vs Brock would land as well, due to the huge amount of money WWE gets from the Saudi government to put on these shows.

Fury is coming off a decision win over Otto Wallin in the boxing right and currently holds a WBO Inter-Continental title. He is being billed as the “Lineal world heavyweight champion” by WWE because he never lost his heavyweight titles in the ring, choosing to vacate them while he was going through personal issues in 2016. He is currently signed to a long-term fight deal with ESPN.
