Press Release – On April 20th, 2012, starting at Noon local time, the young patients at Cook Children’s in Fort Worth, Texas will be getting a special visit from a FightRibbon® team, accompanied by UFC Welterweight, Johny Hendricks, and members of his MMA training team, just 2 weeks before his fight with Josh Koscheck May 5th at UFC on FOX3.
Johny Hendricks and Team Takedown, will be spot-lighting a fight of a different kind: the fight for life…more specifically, the fight to inspire children who are fighting for their lives.
FightRibbon® (www.FightRibbon.com), a clothing company founded on the ideals of promoting childhood cancer awareness, is the company sponsoring and organizing the event. This visit at Cook Children’s is described as “…a growing movement of compassion…” according to FightRibbon® founders, Brent Thompson and Scott Wells, two Kentucky businessmen.
